Health
The health of a kitten doesn't just depend on the genetics of the parents. The environment, food, mental situation and interaction with family members and the other animals in the house are very important in a cat's life.
Listed here are a few needs of a cat:
High quality feed (no sugar, carbohydrates and additives),
BARF is not just uncooked muscle meat, but a mix of offal, meat, trace elements and vitamins in a special ratio - there are ready-made mixes or
the enthusiasts who prepare it themselves.
Clean, big enough and easy to reach toilet
ideally with a carpet for the cat litter that falls out (one large or 2 "normal" toilets)
Space and cat things
to be able to move around and let off steam all day (the apartment is big enough that the cat can "organize" different areas for itself / a large scratching post, cat wall, intelligent games, mice, balls, etc.)
Listed here are a few needs of a cat:
Love and attention
of the people is needed and / or a playmate. It is not right to think that the cat has to occupy itself only that the toys are not enough. Like humans, cats need a play partner to feel good all round.
Another cat fits best.
avoid stress
Loud noises, new smells, new furniture, new access by other people, children and animals (especially cats or active dogs) in the house. Cats are sometimes affected by very small changes. The cats would rather not change anything in their environment.
Vaccinations for cats and kittens
In order for your pet to be always healthy, even if it is a completely healthy domestic cat or kitten, they need to be vaccinated against various diseases every year. Cats and kittens have "their" diseases that are not contagious to humans but can be fatal to an animal.
It is therefore important to vaccinate in good time to protect the animal from viruses. And we can bring them with us from the street with clothes or shoes. And every house cat or free-range cat can get a serious illness “thanks to us”. As with humans, we cats start vaccinating at an early age.
Which vaccinations are important?
There are different types of vaccines that include three or four components at a time.
Now there are vaccines for serious cat diseases in every veterinary clinic:
- the so-called cat flu cat diseases
(feline rhinotracheitis virus / feline calicivirus / feline panleukopenia virus)
- feline leukosis virus
Rabies is no longer necessary to be vaccinated in Switzerland, but if you want to travel across the border with your sweetheart, you should also have them vaccinated 21 days in advance.
In any case, seek advice from your vet.
This is how our parent cats are examined

The regular HCM formwork and annual updates of the vaccinations for adult cats are a matter of course.
Faecal samples (on Giardia and co.) Are made as required
and performed with every throw.
